Schrade 881?

That's Andy. If he says it is new, it is. And he seldom misidentifies a knife. I believe he was a buyer of Schrade stock at or prior to the auction. Irv, Tex, LT, UHFAN give him the rest of the story! :)

Andy has been a Schrade dealer for a long time. He picked up a lot of knives during the final days of the companies life. His descriptions are as true as he can be. I have bought quite a few knives from him and will do more business with him often.
His prices are not cheap but your getting the real thing and he does have a few good bargins in the lot.

You reckon the 881 is new and was from "warranty" inventory at the closing? What I mean is, do you think these knives might have been kept to replace broken knives sent in for warranty? I actually would have no problem buying one, as they are the price of an Old Timer of the same size and would probably give equal service (or Uncle Henry as it has the stainless blade). In fact, I suppose for all practical purposes, it is an Uncle Henry 885 in different clothing, eh?

Davis
