You guessed it. The April '05 issue of "Knives Illustrated". An article describing the disbursement of assets, the major acquirers, their plans for their treasure, and an interview with some of the players. Interestingly, there is a small hype touting the new "WaldenKnife Company. Four pages in all. It did compare the Schrade company to a "six point buck buck on the first day of deer season, healthy and fit, but eventually dead, struck down in it's prime". Dang, Was it shot by a combloc rifle? At any rate, I do keep my eyes open for such things about Schrade. So you might pick up a copy for a keepsake if nothing else. LT, let me know if you need this issue.

Sure do and would appreciate it. Need another hat send address again my pleasure. Thankyou LT

The truly sad thing about Schrade that gnaws at me is that, in my opinion, had they concentrated on truly improving the operations as opposed to the constant “Enron-esk” reactions to losses or less than promised profits, Schrade would still be in business today.

To drive past that plant now and see the empty parking lot, and think back to the days of hundreds of skilled employees turning out product is truly sad.

Hey schradeguy----is there anything going on at the old building or is it totally dead. I haven't been back for a while.
