Schrade Aurum Etchings info.

I have done a little research lately on Aurum Etchings (knives below) and have found that it was
Samuel Shortes who started Aurum etchings in 1975. He received wide acclaim and produced work for the President.

His company Aurum etchings is now A&A Engraving, inc and produces some of the most beautiful works I have ever seen.
Apparently now almost exclusively firearms and some Jewelry.

These unlike his earlier works dont appear to be deep acid etched for obvious reasons. He was responsible for reviving an ancient art form

Tim, Where did you get that picture of Reagon ? That knife is from
a Texas Comm. set made By Track Knives Inc, Whitefish,Mt about
1976. Would like to find out more, I have that set of 4 knives. Thanks

Originally I said the last nife in photo was not a Aurum etched bowie it is Aurum etched.

Great pictures.
They were used by Schrade on many of their commeratives and SFO's. Sure did some great stuff.
