Schrade auto blade bounce

I bought this GEC Schrade lever automatic a while back. I was hoping someone might have some advice for a possible fix. The blade often bounces back after deploying, and misses locking up. My assumption is that the tolerances are just off a bit and there's nothing to be done, but I thought I would ask on here. The blade is loose enough that when the lever is engaged the blade swings pretty freely, it does lock up tight when the lock snaps into place, and can often open and lock if you orient it so gravity helps keep it from bouncing back. I have cleaning and lubricated it but can't think of anything else. Any advice would be appreciated, these are my favorite knives and I can't find any more. Thanks for looking. Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

The pivot needs to be tightened.
Lubricating it will only make it worse.

Do you know if the pivot pins go through the bolsters, or if they are just underneath and the bolsters were soldered over top? Any advice? I have a little basic theoretical knowledge, but no hands on practical experience. Thanks for any advice.

Edit: I do see that the pivot is visible underneath the lever. Do you think gently peening on that side with a dowel punch would work, without ruining the opposing bolster?

You have to close the handles together, and then peen the pin.
Yes, you can use a punch, but the other side has to be supported on an anvil.

After a few taps it's working much more reliably, definitely not perfect but much better. Thanks for the advice.
