Schrade Bowie & Snowblind Folder

I just purchased a Schrade Old Timer Bowie that came with a Snowblind folder, all for under $20. I realize that the steel is probably not the best quality, but the Bowie appealed to me so I made an impulse buy. I like the balance of the Bowie, and it feels good in hand. The folder is nothing special, but it came shaving sharp, and opens smoothly after applying a little knife lube. I just used it to open a package with some stubborn, heavy duty packing tape. It did the job, but I was not impressed with its cutting performance, even though it just shaved hair on my arm.

The folder probably won't see much use, but I want to practice throwing the Bowie. The jury is still out on this purchase.
