Hey there,

My old man gave me an Schrade C641 he had - that is what the tang stamp says anyway - can't seem to find much info anywhere on it?? Someone told me Schrade was done in the USA and he thought it might have some value?

Any info would be great.

That's one of the "3rd Generation" Schrades. I've never seen one in real life, but the Collectors-of-schrades-r-us website has an entire page of photos and advertisements. http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/3rd-Gen/index.htm

Is it collectible? Absolutely. Not only is that an unusual model, but as you've heard, the Imperial-Schrade Corporation went bankrupt and was dissolved in 2004.

Is it valuable? I suspect not due to low model name recognition. The best way to judge the value is to watch eBay for other "3rd Generation" Schrades and their selling prices.
