Does anyone have any info on the classic car series? I've got a big lockback with the clip blade. The blade is imprinted with: Classic Car Series, Limited Edition, the tand stamp is marker SCHRADE + usa SC 507, bolsters are brass, scales appear to be imitation ivory with script '65 Mustang and a drawing of a fastback mustang. Is this knife anything worth getting excited about or just one of thousands? Sorry for being longwinded.
Not so longwinded at all.
The series was produced from 1990 thru 1992.
1990 - 507SC - 1953 Corvette
1990 - 507SC - 1956 T-Bird - 2,500 pcs.
1991 - 507SC - 1957 Chevy
1992 - 507SC - 1965 Mustang
In my opinion, it's a nice knife even without the fancy scrimshaw. Even in new condition you won't sell it for a bundle, but I am sure they are fairly collectable, to car people as well as knife people. As you can see with the T-Bird, there are a few out there.
I would guesstimate if you have one that is new in the original packaging it might bring $50.00 to $75.00, depending on the day, but could be more or less.
Someone else is bound to have a little more info.
Series info was extracted info from one of Codgers old threads. Thanks Michael.
