Here's a site that is news to me anyway. It has archives of web pages as they appeared in the past. You can basically surf Schrade's old site as it was going back to 1998.

You click on a year which brings up a calender and then click a highlighted date and then you can browse Imperial Schrade's site as it was on that very day in history.

COOL!!!

Interesting to be sure, but I have a hard time getting past the fact that it's hosted by Taylor Brand.
Oh well. I guess I'll take where I can get it. :o

It has nothing to do with Taylor. That's kinda the point of why it's neat. The domain "www.schradeknives.com" was Imperial Schrade Corp.'s website from 1998-2004. Taylor took it over after that but the pages you browse pre- July 2004 on the Wayback Machine are "snapshots" of Imperial Schrade Corps website, not Taylor's. (If you browse dates that are post-July 2004 you will see images of Taylor's site of course.)

You can check archived versions of any site you want. Just type a different url in the search field. It's a general web archive tool not specific to Schrade. You never actually go to "www.schradeknives.com"! You view pictures of website pages stored on wayback.archive.org's servers. You are leafing through pictures of pages not the pages themselves.

Bruce, does this make more sense now?
