I just bought a folder with 3 blades from a flea market. It's got the Schrade shield on the side but no discernible markings on the shield. Plastic? bone handle, nickel bolsters (guessing) with steel? rivets 1 top and 1 bottom.
The main blade has Colonial, Prov?, USA on the blade. It's obviously carbon steel (judging by the rust but the bolsters had corrosion too). I fully expected to find the Schrade stamp on the blade but not so.
I'd truly appreciate any help in dating this knife or finding out more about it. For $5.45 I can't see how I could have gone wrong. :thumbup:
