I won this Schrade Cut Co last week and it just arrived today. I've been digging in the reprint of the Schrade Pocket Knives - Catalog E and Supplements and still can't nail down a model number.

The knife is 3-1/8" long, does not have candle tips, has brass liners and the blades are what I'd call a small spear and a small pen.

I received permission from the person that ran the auction to use his pictures. Hopefully they attach properly.

Anyone care to offer an opinion? Thanks -- Howie

Perhaps the pattern is an S7434?? found on page 36 of the 1926. I don't see a code that matches that handle material type but it is the same pen knife. Looks like a clean example.

Hal - Thanks for taking the time to check that out.

Model S7434 -- That's the page I had my bookmark in. So we need a letter for the color.

If we go back to the start of the book or the beginning of the corresponding file posted on LRV's GREAT website http://www.collectors-of-schrades-r.us/Catalogs/images/1926_Schrade_Catalogs.pdf there's a color list.

The closest I can get is K = brown lined cream pyralin listed for a few of the other models. So I'll settle for S7434K.

I can just imagine the salesmen or vendors going thru this same exercise 80 years ago. Must have made for some long sales calls! Thanks Hal !! Howie
