I have a Schrade Deerslayer blade without handle scales. I have looked but was not able to find any originals. Does anyone know of a source or someone who would part with them?

If not my next step would be to have installed a set of hardwood scales. Unfortunately I am not talented enough to do this myself. Does anyone know someone who could does this?

Thanks for any assistance!! :D

You should be able to enlist competent rebuilders that could rehandle it with hardwood or even bone scales if you want. There are a some regular forum member here who do fantastic work. The original Old Timer delrin might be hard to come across.

Thanks Thawk, I will find someone to put hardwood handles on it!

If there are any recommended rebuilders please let me know!

The deer slayer is an awsome knife, there is potential here to really dress it up. I would have the knife done in some nice wood with a metal bolster brass or steel.

I wholeheartedly agree. I want to make this a very user friendly blade for my outdoor activities.

Hey afcop82 I know a guy who just did some scales on a spyderco mule that may be willing to help ya out,LOL - Joel
