I found this in a local antique store. There wasnt a price on it but when I asked the guy he said everything is for sale make an offer. but I didint know what it was worth. Probablly more to a schrade collector but it would look pretty good in one of our basements I bet. just thought I'd see if you guys had seen one of these before. I think its before my time?

That is a nice display case....no idea what it would be worth but it sure would look good in any Schrade collectors house. Any good knives there?

Not too many good ones I bought 2 h-15's out of there last week. that was about the last of the schrades.

Go ahead and guess-wait I bet your gonna say..... the morris antique store!!! Your right pretty nice one huh. I know Id like to have it.-regards joel

Just from what I can see of the case, I'd say it was made between 1977 and 1982. I base this opinion on the sign shown in the top of the case, specifically what I can see of the logo. Can you enhanse that area of the picture?

I cannot enchance it any I tried I can send it to someone if they wanna try but im computerly challenged! By the way codger, what does it mean "now seen on tv" were there comercials or was it in fishing shows or something? -joel

Yes. They began doing television advertising. There are some Schrade factory radio ads archived on the Schrade Collector's site, and some video files as well. Perhaps Larry (lrv) has added some television ads as well. he boxes contained many different types of media, some old 8mm films, and some stuff not used outside of recording and broadcast studios. I'm not sure which ones he has been able to digitize into wave files for audio, and video files. Perhaps he'll chime in here. Also, if I can find the right files, the advent of television advertising might have been discussed at the anual sales meetings.

IF... the "store sign logo" displayed says Est. 1904 / SCHRADE / CUTLERY / CORPORATION / MADE IN USA, then it was the one used chiefly from 1977 - 1982/4. The TV ads campaign likely would be near the latter part of that era. This was the last embodiment of the store sign type logo.

I've been trying to locate a 35MM projector so I can convert a few of the old films I have to another media like tape or dvd. I've just gotten a 16MM projector for a few films. I think I need some help. I have a couple of what look like studio tapes which I have no idea how to convert. They may be tv tapes. Nothing is labeled well.
Anyone have any experiance in TV or 35 MM formats I'd love to hear from you. I know they advertised and sponsered 2 outdoor shows as well as the radio shows.
