  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Can anyone tell me about this? I found a discussion here but it was about something slightly different.
It was my father's 10 years award, a 10 kt gold tie clip. The back has a screw in backing, not the push on as commonly seen. The post is solid, not hollow. With the backing it weighs 3.204 grams, without its 1.814 grams. I really cant find any info about this, so anyone who can help, soun d off.

Well I read that they were only in brass or steel. I believe it also said they had hollow pins on the back.
This is gold with a solid, threaded pin. Is this normal?
It was my father's, who worked there for years. He passed last March and I now gave his collection. My grandfather worked there before my father when it was Ulster Knife. I worked there after my father. Its funny that my father always called it Ulster Knife and never Schrade.

The Ulster Schrade names, companies and leaders are a wonderful history to explore. Baer was a master at corporate shell games. And the workers seemed to give it the quality that made the brands famous.

Welcome to the forum @Mike 316! I hope we can learn more from you about Schrade, owners and management and it's employees and knives!
