Schrade error knife?

Should be Schrade, but were marked Imperial Ireland by mistake at the schrade factory??????Yeah right. There's an error all right, but I think it's in the seller's description. It's a cheaper Irish knife trying to masquerade as a Schrade Factory error.....UNLESS he can show me written proof from someone I trust and also bring a note from his Mother.

My thoughts exactly, if it's that rare how come more people haven't jumped on it yet, I know they're all waiting to snipe it at the last second.

But Paul It probably comes with a COA from our friend MVPknife. That should be all you need.I wonder what happened to him .Arnold

I have a similar one, but it's just a standard knife out of the Irish factory.

Where's the error?, maybe someone should ask the seller for more details or clarification.

Luis

Edited to comment: also the seller mentions: "WHAT SEEMS TO BE A VERY LIGHTWEIGHT METAL HANDLES", looks like plastic or FRN to me, just like in my knife.

I had one just like it a few years ago, they are not metal handles either if I remember correctly, they are some type plastic or zytel.

Also I think they sold them at Lowes awhile back......in a bubble pack....for about 6 bucks...

Smokey was selling those as error knives for $2.99 at one point. The price is up to $4.99 now: http://www.eknifeworks.com/...
My advice: Invest in these now, before others catch on! :D

P.S. I have one one of these, the handle is definitely plastic, probably zytel.

Here is your mystery knife. From the Imperial Apex Wilderness series, a stainless AP26 3 1/4" stockman with Zytel handles. $12.45 list in 2001.

I too have one just like this - it sits on my desk as a great little letter opener.

A regular run knife from Imperial in Ireland.

More smoke & mirrors from Smoke & Mirrors Knife Whackers !!!!!!!!

I bought a few from Smokey last year. Gave some away and kept 3 or 4. The ones that were the "error" knives look just like the ones that were not the "error" knives.
I also got one that has the blade etched: "Schrade locks it's Doors
July 30, 2004!"

I also bought some from smokey and thought they were confused. They didn't look like a factory error to me.
Probably just a ploy to make it more enticing.
