Anybody know who makes these knives? they are made in USA and have schrade cut. co on one side and taylor on the other. They seem to be really well made and resemble GEC knives I have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Well. it says tempered stainless on them, and I believe that Taylor specified 440C but I can't say for sure. On another note, you can get the Northfield Trappers by GEC in 1095 Carbon too, They make single and double blade models. The Tidioute line has some too. They are called the Pioneer and Scout patterns. Basically same style, with one having capped handles.

It is a nice hearty pattern, and there are some out there in Burnt Sambar and a wide variety of handle materials, steel, and blade variations that are really nice ones.
