I wouldn't say they are rare because you can find them all the time online but they are less common than Schrade's standard models. The stamping on these knives shows "1978-x" (1978-2 etc) and in this case 1978 does represent the year they were made.

Search "Parker Frost knife" for yourself and you will see exactly how rare they are. Cheers!
