Hi friends!

I scored an excellent flea market find recently, a Schrade Walden grafting knife.
I’m hoping y’all can help confirm my sucpicion that the grafting tongue is elephant ivory (is there a more official term than that?).
Also, my research dates it to 1946-50s but I’m hoping one of the incredibly knowledgeable folks here can narrow that down even further.
Thanks for looking!

A close look at the pics and I'm going with pachydermal dentine which is the pc term forelephant ivory. It has growth rings and those little cracks.
Score!

They really must have loved celluloid to team it with ivory... or anything else for that matter.:D
