The Schrade Heritage knives are usually nice. Genuine bone scales, and well fitted stainless blades. It's not unusual to see them sell on the average for about $35.00 to $45.00 NIB on Ebay. The trappers and muskrats are not as common as the stockman. The 8041 whittler is probably the one that people will pay the most for, sometimes the 2061 Barlow. I really like them.

As a side note, they commonly appear on Ebay with no shield or blade etch, sometimes with mismatched scales, which leads me to believe there were quite a few unused parts when Schrade folded their tents up.

So Irv I've got a end of times since the scales are green bone instead of red? Is there written info on this or are the pics definitive? Not doubting your info just a question.

Stroker, I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the Heritage knives came out in a red bone set, a green bone set and (here's where I'm not sure) a brown bone set, much like the Classics sets did.

Eric

PS- Larry, is your site down? I'm just getting the Index File for the Camillus section

You are correct Eric. Brown, Green, and Red. 1983 through 1986 on the set where those colors were used. I believe the complete set is a couple of stockman, a trapper, a whittler, a muskrat, and a barlow. The blue hinged boxes are nice too. There are some other knives, both folding and fixed, with a Heritage stamp, but these sets are the ones I am familiar with.

I have a Red bone trapper in the heritage series that goes deer hunting with me every year. It is all scratched up and the shield has been missing for years but I just love the steel in this one. It takes a great edge and holds it. If you get the chance to pick one up, it makes a great hunting partner.
