The postman delivered a Schrade Heritage Whittler this morning, and thought I'd put up a picture of it. I've never collected these as much as the other series of Schrades, but they sure seem to be nice examples of smooth bone handled knives. Nice hinged boxes too.

They sure were a nicely made slippie.

Put up some pictures of your Heritage Series 1983 -1986 pocket knives. They are beauties.

that's just as pretty as the one i have ! as good as regular Schrades are, this whittler seems a little "step up". maybe it's the bone handles and rounded bolsters, but it just looks and feels rich with color and style. remarkably perfect fit of the blades in closed position too. one of the best Schrades IMO. my pics are here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=496599

Thawk,

That is one sweet Whittler. I nearly purchased a set of 2 Schrade Whittlers with the exact same smooth bone scales and identical bolsters. I believe Roland is onto something about the quality here on these. They seemed have gone to a higher standard than normal for these. I'd be curious to know for sure.
