I was recently just looking up all sorts of knife manufacturers and going through their catalogues. I came upon the Schrade website and found this I-Quip and Navitool, seemed interesting. I am not big on carrying lots of gear, let alone have much gear. Recently it has crossed my mind that I may want to start camping again, I have not been out since I was a kid. This tool seems like it might be useful for camping and hiking. The I-Quip is rather expensive, but the Navitool seems decently priced. Wondering what others out there think of either of these items, and if anyone knows something similar that has multiple tools combined?

There are those out there that think the I-quip and navitool are useless pieces of junk. For the list price, I don't think they're worth it.

I have a Navitool, and it is decently made, has some neat features, is a little bulky though. It would have been nice if the compartment for the lighter were waterproof.

The tools are okay but you couldn't do any prying or anything without damaging something.

I like the compass best of all. Nice and solid with a rubberized case.

The whistle and the led are alright, just mostly bells and whistles...

You can get a Navitool for about 25 bucks new on ebay or other sites, and that is an outstanding bargain IMHO. I would love to get the Iquip, but it's a little too pricey for my use of it.

Hope this helps.
