Over the years, I have purchased several Schrade "Kentucky Rifle" knives. These are the 3 blade version. All of them are stamped CM1 on the main blade.
I recently purchased another "Kentucky Rifle" knife. It has a low serial number, but it has Schrade Walden NY USA stamped on the blade. I would expect this was a later version, but I would like to know something about it.

Is this your stamp? I am not familiar with the stamps on these, but it is a legitimate Schrade USA knife. Those came out in 1971, and apparentely some came out with Schrade Walden stamps instead of the Schrade NY USA CM-1. The cutoff between Schrade Walden NY USA and Schrade NY USA knives was 72-73, so maybe these Schrade Walden versions were released before. Just a guess.

Your picture is the one that I have. The next picture is one that my son owns. It is SN 0001.

He has the knife with the gold scrolled bolsters and gold rifle? Those are worth a pretty penny. I took the pictures of the first knife from a recent eBay auction.

Posting a picture of Kentucky Rifle CM-1 SN 00001. I am wondering if anyone knows anything about the signature that is engraved on the main blade. Thanks

Name of the original knife club collector that bought it maybe?

Nice to see a picture.

I wrote a letter to A.G. Russell requesting any information about the signature on the blade. I included a SASE, but have not received any reply at all. So much for enclosing a SASE.

SHAW-LEIBOWITZ were a husband and wife team of artists that did the engraving and etching on the blades and bolsters of this set.
