Schrade Knives

I would appreciate any help I can get. We were given 2 Schrade Knives. I know nothing about them. They both appear to have bone handles. The blades are 1 1/4" wide by 4 1/4" long, and they both have the number 0802 engraved into the metal on the handle. The blade of one is engraved with the "Trail of Tears" scene, and the other is engraved with "Custer's Last Stand" scene. One has just a little bit of rust on the blade. We were told at the time that they were worth about $500.00 each. But, I figured that I should talk to someone that would know. Would someone please reply and let me know more about the knives and worth. Thank you very much. Deanie

According to ebay, if you got $500 for the two of them, you would be doing very well. Schrade is a hardware store brand, and not a hot collectible.

Can't say as I've ever seen one of them being sold in a hardware store.Deanie, I believe this price is more in line with what you can expect for each of those in mint condition. Nice set!

That's a magnificent stag clasp Deanie hang on to it.The Recommended Wholesale and Retail prices by Schrade were hardly even a guide with dramatic discounting being the norm for dealer prices and then on selling I believe.
Thawk...'Chinese Schrade quality'..now that's a contradition in terms if ever I heard one.....ahso how long you want knife to last anyway.. Cookie Boy?? You see Cookie boy we make sure each of our Sharade knives are velly correctable!!! Whoo Wroo.

From the info I have that knife is pretty much spot on the price it should be.
