Schrade Knives

Are the knives put out by Schrade just imitations of other company's knife designs? Are they actually quality knives? :confused: Any information about them would be very helpful to me and will be very appreciated, since several of them have caught my eye. Thank You.
 
The name "Schrade" was puchased by Taylor and the knives currently being sold under that name are made in china. The ones I have handled are flea-market quality. Real Schrades haven't been made since 2004 when Imperial-Schrade went out of business.
 
Wow, good to know. I'm more of a collector of knives and really don't use them all too often, but if i'm thinking about buying one I at least like to know that the knife is quality. Thank you very much for the info sir.
 
Look on the big auction site if you want a real USA Schrade. The newer models are cheap junk. Gives the brand a bad name.
 
This is off topic from my original question, but while I have your attention, do you by any chance know if its possible to attach a tek-lok to a factory made kydex Seal Pup sheath?
