I'm new on the forum, but owned a Schrade+ LB7(?) for almost 26 years. I bought it used but in excellent condition at the old Sunrise Drive In flea market in Sunrise Florida in 1981, so I know for sure it was not chinese bunk. The knife served me well up until about 2 months ago when it was stolen:grumpy: out of my pickup truck by miscreants as yet unknown, either in Albuquerque NM or Aurora CO.

I had found a Schrade basketweave style leather case that fit it in recent years and that's where it always was when not being used.

My question is: In the 60s or 70s was there another knife very like the LB7, or a knife that the LB7 replaced? It may seem remiss of me but I do not recall the LB7 being on the blade. I do remember the Schrade+ on it as well as the USA part. I just never paid that much attention. There is no badge inlayed in the wood. I don't really collect pocket knives although now I seem to have started.

I am still hoping I find the jerks:jerkit: who stole mine and get it back. It looks just like an LB7 (if it isn't) with the brass bolsters and the wood inlay. It has some marks on it which make it very identifiable to me and they would not be removable.

Anyway, can someone tell me how long the LB7s were made?

Thanks

The LB7 Bear Paw ran from 1979 to 2004.
$62.95 was the retail in 2004.

They are pretty easy to replace on Ebay for about 30.00 to $35.00 and that may get you a new one with a sheath if you are patient.

Horsecats, sorry to hear about your ordeal, not a nice thing to experience. Hopefully as thawk mentioned you should be able to pick up a replacement quite resonably.

Yea horsecats let us know if you cant come up with something Im sure we could help if you dont have any luck. I hate thieves more than anything. I wasnt the best kid in the world but I knew if I ever stole anything and got caught the police would be the easy thing to deal with I feared my father and can honestly say I've never even stolen a piece of gum. Hope you find em and skin em. -Joel
