I just bought a Schrade Loveless hunter , most that I've seen on line have the serial number stamped on the side. This one doesn't but has a registration card with the serial number on it. Can any one tell me more about this knife??
Schrade made two types of Loveless style drop point knives. One came in a display box, with marron red or white "improved" handle. The other with a black handle, large and smaller blade,
with brass bolsters ( Pro Hunter, Hunter). The first was a limited production and has collector value, & is more expensive. I owned all 3 and like the small black handle one.
You have to go through a photo hosting site, many free ones out there. Upload your photos to the hosting site, and then copy and paste the appropriate link here on the forum.
I can't tell if your blade is the long one or the smaller. Of course it has the black handle with brass bolsters. It is the more common one. It is not the limited edition, I mentioned the red grip without the bolster.
Hi tebodin from Australia, Come over to the Schrade Collectors Forum, if you need advice on any U.S. made Schrade. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/732-Schrade-Knives-Collectors-Forum Your knife is a Pro Hunter. The small black box and paperwork is for an RL2, your Pro Hunter knife did not come in that Black Box.
This is the knife that came in that Black Box, with all of that paper-work and the sheath was Brown.
Schrade made 4 knives that some collectors call "Loveless Design."
The First Schrade Loveless was the " RL2 "
Then came the " Schrade CH2 Custom Hunter ".
The Big Schrade Pro Hunter came out after the Schrade CH2, and Schrade called it the " PH1 "
This is a Schrade Small Pro Hunter - The " Schrade PH2 "
Dose your knife have a wooden or plastic handle. What is stamped on the blade tang.
