Sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm not a Schrade collector but I have an original Schrade/Loveless PH. I was about to post it for sale and showed it to a friend of mine who said that the logo was in the wrong place. He showed me a photo of a Schrade/Loveless from the Loveless book "John Denton's Collection" which shows the logo closer to the guard and a bit higher. Everything else about this knife is spot on. Below is a photo of my knife on top of the center fold from the book. It does appear that the logo on my is more centered on the blade. Is that an issue that I should be concerned about? Was there variance in where to logo appears on these knives?

Your knife is a "Schrade RL2" and not a Pro Hunter 1.
The logo has been placed wrongly in the Factory... Ken

Or, in other words, there is nothing amiss with authenticity of your knife, in my opinion.

Thanks Tongueriver. Any idea how much it's worth? This one is what it is, perhaps a nice user. It is not pristine collector piece. I have two sheaths for it, one is an old leather custom that came with it and the other is new old stock original for this knife. The blade and handle are in good shape with a few minor scratches. Worst thing is, who ever had it before me polished the brass guard and faded the serial number. It's still there but barely visible, looks like #3638. I'll take some pics later. Just trying to get an idea of value. I mostly collect custom hunters and folders and rarely sell anything so I really don't know much about this. I bought it on a whim at a pawn shop a couple years ago.

Thanks KoldGold (Ken) for the PM info on this knife. Nice to know it's worth more than I would have guessed.
