Schrade Markings

Schrade has always been my favorite of the production knives, and I was saddened to hear they had closed their doors. I got to thinking (and looking through the Schrades I have accumulated over the years), and realized I have no idea of the various tang stamps they've used over the years (which stamp was used over what period of time).

I've done a search on the web looking for info on the years each of their stamps were used, but have not yet found anything definitive, such as the years they used "Schrade Cutlery Co., "Schrade-Walden," etc.

I thought my best bet might be the history section of their website, but it has only general historical information. Other searches have come up dry as well. :confused:

Anyone know where I might find this info?

Sargents first edition. Also Knifeworld just did an article on this a couple of months ago. Main markings Were Schrade Cut Co 1903 ( various variations ) till around 1946. 46 through 56 both Schrade Walden NY and Schrade Walden NY USA . This last stamp was used until 1972. Then several including SCHRADE USA. LT
