I had two that I picked up at SMKW in TN for $5 each. Still have one in my collection, the other one was horrible, with dangerous lock-slip.

Well that doesnt sound good, and they were 3 times the price in the catalog too

Schrade has been closed for a number of years. The name was bought by another firm, which sells cheap china knives under the Schrade name.

If it says Schrade USA it's real. If it just says Schrade its the new stuff.
