Schrade Old Timer 272

The 72OT is a 2 3/4" two bladed jacknife, that evolved from the Schrade 272. They started making the 72OT in 1986, and ended in 1996. The ending retail price was $23.95. As far as Old Timers go, I would consider it is uncommon compared to the patterns they continued to make up until 2004, but not rare.

The one in your picture is a 12OT frame with a 272 blade. The 12OT was a single bladed knife, and the blade was the same one as a 72OT. The 272 was an Open Stock version with jigged delrin handles. It too used the same sized clip blade. This too would be considered uncommon with Schrade, but not rare. Sometimes Schrade had a "what ever fits" attitude. Especially when the company days were numbered.
