anyone have any experience with the new old timer commemoratives with bone handles, and the old "everlasting sharp" blade etch? I use to have one of the older commemoratives (from the early 80's), a green bone handled old timer whittler with the "everlasting sharp" etch on the master blade. Does anyone know if the quality is good on the newer ones?

Thanks,
John

I have the bone handled Schrade Classic stockman. The quality is superb. The knife has some VERY nice bone. I would have preferred carbon over the stainless steel, but it's still an awesome knife.

I have got the Schrade classic Trapper. The red bone and the fit and finish is real good. I do however think that the blades is to flexible for a knife in this size. (4 1/8 inch and 3.9 oz) I think its the size of a hard user and the workmanchip and material also allows this, but the flexing blades dont coupe up with the rest of the knife and makes it a fine but hevy knife for lighter use.

My first post here. Have been reading here for some mounths and now think its time to give something back. My english writing isnt that good, but wath the heck, its just for fun.

Nirre,
thanks for the comments very much appreciated!!! and welcome to bladeforums!!!

sincerely,
John
