According to Robert Clemente's A Catalog History of Schrade Knives, the 98OT Ramrod was first produced in 1982 and last produced in 1997. The 98OT is a three bladed knife with no tweezers or toothpick. It is more likely that his knife is a 96OT Bearhead Trapper. Those were produced from 1992 thru 2004.

The 96OT is now also made by Taylor Schrade in China, so check to see if yours says: Shrade/U.S.A. 96OT, making it an original Schrade. roland
