Hi all,
New to the forum.
Just dug out an old Schrade "Uncle Henry Papa Bear" I bought in my early twenties.
Thought I'd take a few pic's and get some advice.
From what I read on a post in another thread, this may be a low serial number single "Alpha"?
I bought it at L&H Automotive & Tire Service back in 1982 for $19.95.
It's been stored in the original box for 30+ years.
I don't remember ever carrying or using it.
Does this look like normal aging / patina?
Is there anything I should do to preserve it?
Regards, Ken
*** Update ***
Just remembered when I looked at the back of the sleeve that covers the box....
This was a sent as a "replacement" for my original Bear Paw. It's serial number was U16735.
A little more research told me I have a "Papa Bear" instead of a "Bear Paw".
