Schrade pen

Hi, fairly new to the forum. I happen to have this Schrade in my collection.I cant' for the life of me tell what the handle is,rough black or horn or celluloid.:LOL:

Walden
NY USA
And on the other side is 766
Nice little knife, I find it going into my pocket frequently.

The catalogs say this sweet little Wharncliffe #766 has black plastic handles.
