I was taking a picture to send to a friend, and it turned out to be a good night for taking photos. Overcast, late afternoon. Schrade 892UH. Yes my thumb was greasy, and it got too dark wipe it off and take another. :o

Thought I'd share it. I love the little stubby wharncliffe shaped blade on this knife. Pot shots welcome. Personally, the forums are pretty dad gum boring if no one shows off knife pictures.

Larry - Congratulation on the solid gold knife.

Jackie: Keep posting pictures and asking questions. You are about to make me start collecting fixed blades.

Nice U.H and glad to hear about Larry's knife. Please don't stop asking questions Jackie, i don't know about others but i'm learning alot from the answers, we all love seeing the pictures, these things are what keep the forum going, thanks. happy collecting,G.M

That's a beautiful knife, thawk! It doesn't specifically say on the page about the missing UH's. Is that based on the 3rd Generation C648 frame, or the C628?

The 892UH is the same frame as the 648 3rd Gen. The 707UH is on the same frame as the 628, but with two blades.

Fair amount of size difference.

The whole set of cocobolo wood handled 3rd Gens.

That was a different path Schrade followed with these knives compared with standard production, not bad looking in a group as above, also it helps to have long pockets with the price these are fetching today. I do like the 892UH most though, nice knives thawk.

That picture was one the previous owner sent me when I bought them. Here's one I took with the official Schrade 3rd Gen knife roll.

Nice line-up you got there! Now it just needs an LB4 to fill it out! I'm jealous. I can't even complete the 3rd Gen series (still need a C628), let alone the Lost UH's.

Had to wait until it was bright out again Dave. Here's the whole bunch.

Very Nice Hal. except for the 892 and 707, i have all those too. classy "little" knives; too nice, you hardly ever see a used one. roland

I appreciate the complements. It may sound hokey, but these are probably the favorite chase down of all my knives. As soon as I started collecting Schrades, I found an 892UH on Ebay and thought I had it in the bag, and realized real quick who WRFTX is, and I'm sure some of you know Wendell from Sonora Texas. The Missing UH knives became a personal mission after that. I got the whole set of Coco 3rds in the Slippy Swap Meet over in traditional, from a great guy down in the Louisiana. Those knives survived Katrina, so they are special as well.

And Roland, you are so right. Never seen a used up blade. I think that may have something to do with their demise. The bigger ones feel great in my large hand, and they would make a great slicer, but I've never cut anything with any of them.

Awesome collection hal ,really great lookin!! so where do the kious knives play in in the group or should I say what frame does that sit on, if in fact it actually is modeled after the 3rd gen's? which I assume it is from the looks right?
