picked up a nice little single bladed schrade today at the gunshow (the guns were boring, the knives more interesting. go figure!) The tang is stamped Geo.Schrade, Bridgeport,Conn., Pat. 9-21-26. The handle is a skeleton of probably 8 gauge steel wire and the blade is 2 7/8 inches, overall 5 3/4 open.Perhaps may anyone know if this is a prunner or an electritians hawkbill.Pretty cool little knife. Thanks in advance, Dale Hemphill

Dale, quite some time ago I ran across a guy, Glen Davis, who loves these things George dreamed up, Wirejacks they are called.

Codger, Thank you so much for sharing that info with me. Very interesting! I almost traded a box of "Herters' 30 caliber full jacketed bullets" but there were 2 types in a box of 92 and he wanted to load a straight load. So I ended up giving him a $20.00 bill. Came home and the knife took a beautiful edge. The tang is stamped with a curved Geo. S., and Bridgeport is abreviated. Thanks again for sharing that article. Keep the edge on! Dale Hemphill
