Just got it in he mail, wanted to share pics. First impression: solid and balanced. Quality construction for 50 bones. View attachment 335561 image.jpgimage.jpg View attachment 335560
So I took it out today and decided to throw it. Throws predictably.. Spins after than normal hawks. Only the spike would stick because of the front blade geometry. Still, i think it chops more like a hatchet than a hawk. Couple pics

Couldn't even get the front to stick without throwing. It'd leave a nasty wound if used for defense!

It's cool looking. From what I gather the 3Cr13 steel is only so-so. Please give us your impressions once you've had a chance to put it through its paces.

I hope to get out tomorrow. I hacked on an alder a bit and it seems to chop small stuff similar to my chopper knives. I want to do some bigger spruce trunks, use the "spade" for digging, and maybe look for some old ww2 metal(junk out in the forest)to stab the spike through.. I imagine it will hold up ok, don't mind if it doesn't being so inexpensive.

Took it out today. So far it's felled a couple dead trees, biggest pictured below... I also dug with the "spade" head(top edge). I couldn't find much use for the spike other than softening soil and to hang it on tree trunks, also pictured. Thanks for looking

never heard of that one ,looks like a descent enough chopper,i would try it for fifty bucks.lot of hawks coming out lately.

I do like it. I've been trying to come up with ways to mod the hawk but can't think of ways to make it better. I think the scales are more of a grivory than g10, but grippy enough.
