Greetings,
About 2 weeks ago, I received three Schrade SCHF37's. You can read about here:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...So-my-three-Schrade-SCHF37-s-showed-up-today?
In any event, I took one and kind of modestly modded/upgraded it little bit. I stripped off the factory rough powder coat, softened a few of the sharp/pointy parts on some of the jimping, added a couple coats of Hammerite gray paint, some hi-viz lanyards w/ glow beads and added some glow paint to the grip screws and 'SCHRADE' imprint on the blade.
Overall, a little elbow grease made a significant difference. I'm gonna say, for $35 plus a little paint, lanyards, and glow beads (so call it $40), its a pretty high value rig for a being a beater/trunk knife.
A few photos from along the short journey, plus a comparison to a one in factory trim + my end results.
If you're looking to tinker a bit, this provides a good base to start from. YMMV.
Thought I'd share.
