Schrade Scrimshaw Lockback

I recently won this auction for a Scrimshaw Lockback " Breaking the Sound Barrier" knife. It is exactly as described in the auction and I am very pleased with this knife. This is the only large Schrade lockback that I own and I really like the quality and solid construction.

The knife was one of a three knife commemorative series, Great Moments in American Aviation History made from 1991-1993. All included special motif stamped leather sheaths.

The series includes:
1991 - SC507 - AH1 - Flight Of The Flyer - Wright Flyer - 6,000 pieces
1992 - SC507 - AH2 - Wings Of Victory - P-51 Mustang - 6,000 pieces
1993 - SC507 - AH3 - Breaking the Sound Barrier - X-1 - 3,000 pieces

As you can see, the AH3 is the "key" piece of the three.
