I have found this knife at discount and its about $12 us,and am thinking of buying it.The fit and finish seems pretty good and I was surprised as it looks and feels about same as American made Schrades.Any opinions welcome....

The Taylor Schrades I have, a 7OT, LB7, Imperoal Congress, and a 4 blade Hammer Brand canoe whittler are all good.
They hold an edge just as well as my older ss Schrades, and are just as easy to keep sharp. FF is great, too. No noticable gaps anywhere.
From my limited experience, the Taylor made Schrade's are just as good as the US models - and no Swindon key on any Taylor made Schrade/Old Timer/Uncle Henry or Imperial.

ill probably get this one, some of those bone handled schrade slipjoints seem of great quality too for price with 440c

The past two years Taylor made knives have been 3 yea's and 1 boo. The Imperial Cigar Pattern was so tight I rarely use it .
