Hey guys I just found your forum and I ask for your help. I have found a schrade sharpfinger with guthook and cream delrin handles. It is a scrimshaw edition and it has B.A.S.S. emblem 1994 on it with a bass also. Can anyone tell me value and how many were produced. I appreciate your help.
Not sure on production numbers for those drwells, I think I may be able to find the info here somewhere though, I've got a feeling Larry might have it too
I'm not positive, but I think they may have made two versions, there was the regular yearly knife (which I believe I've seen but not positive on), and then there was a smaller production of knives for the team in the annual Bassmaster Classic tournament. I've got a couple of those, had the '89 too (LB-7/507SC) but gave it to my nephew since he dreams of one day competing in that tournament. Here's a pic, is your etch similar to this or does it contain the larger B.A.S.S emblem?
Value's iffy, possibly somewhere between $35 and $50 if you've got the box, paperwork, and sheath. The sharpfingers seem to atract a bit more attention than the folders on those limited edition scrims, although the guthook may detract a bit, but it really all depends on what the collectors (both knifers and bassers) are looking for at the moment.
