Who has a Schrade Spitfire? I haven't heard anything about it on the forums. I picked one up a few weeks ago and I have been very impressed
with it. The Spitfire is a very small knife with an OAL of 5" and a blade just under 2". The knife does not have a clip but it has a really neat detachable lanyard. The blade has a dagger style grind not unlike the Spyderco Native. The scales are black G-10 and the blade is ATS-34. The lock is an Axis style lock. It's a very secure lock but it does have a bit of vertical play. The knife came sharp out of the box and I have used it for general utility.
I think the Spitfire compares very nicely to the Spyderco Dodo or Al Mar SLB. The are all wide bladed knives in the 2" range that are very handy for everyday tasks. I think that the Schrade is under the radar because it is so different from the rest of that companyis offerings. Also it is unusual to start a new line of knives with a model in the 2" range.
