So, How do you guys store your Schrades? Do you keep them in the box, or store both seperate?

Anyone use a Knife Roll? I recently got one, and put mine in it, I thought it would make it easier to look at them. But I'm not sure if I like it or not :(

My Fixed blades are stored seperate, waxed and wrapped in wax paper, out of the sheath's of course. And then I have to store the sheaths.

Curious to see what you guys have come up with !

i use knife rolls of various sizes (from 6 to 60 knives per roll). the boxes i have, i keep in large plastic storage containers. i have about 500 knives (~100 Schrades), so the only problem will be for my heirs, as anyone who is not a keen knifer will have difficulty matching them up.
if i ever see a large but shallow floor standing cabinet with glass doors, i think that would be a nice way to store and display my knives. roland

I store mine in a wooden cabinet, with felt lined drawers, which are really more like trays. I leave the ones that have boxes in the boxes. I get them out and play with the ones that have no boxes more often. I rearrange them from time to time. A small drawer for EDC knives.

I know some guys pack them away, but I enjoy having them a lot more when I can get at them. I really like those old plastic Schrade tubes for easy storage. I'd like to come up with about 100 of those.

I have my OT & UH collection mounted in glass fronted case an hung on the wall. Most of the others I have stored on knife displays in a bookcase in my "office" or mancave. Easy access for play time.
Sheaths and boxes are in plastic tub's in a closet.

hey fellows--a question ive been needing to ask; i have most of my knives in (6)schrade countertop displays and (1) floor model display--these are original schrade/schrade-walden store displays. my question is that for example with the floor model, the red factory insert displays the knives with the blades partially cocked open---would'nt this weaken the springs over time? how much time? 10-20-30 years? they sure look nice like that but i worry about it in the long run. some input on this would be appreciated. thanks, brady
