I've heard of the View Pack tube, but never heard of Ebonite being used for black Delrin before. From the 1980 Short Line catalog pages.

The different terms for Delrin scales are great. It does sound a lot better than black Delrin.

My favorite, "Staglon." I wonder if someone at Schrade made that up? It's nicer-sounding than my own name for it, "Plasti-Stag. :D

Whoever was doing the mfg. of this handle material may have been exposed to asbestos? Not good.

Wow, Tongueriver, you got me looking that one up, great find.

Fibestos, from a 1935 document, The plastic sheets which are in common use in this country for aircraft windows are made from cellulose acetate and are known commercially under such trade names as "Fibestos," "Lumarith," and "Plastacele."

Ebonite... of course the Ebony connection, and Ulster used Bonite for their hard plastic pre-delrin plastic, post bone handles.
