I had a couple of these, this one was not my favorite because of the odd plier jaws and the fact that one of the jaws broke. I went to Lowes and bought the right side Vise-Grips for parts.

Ground the rivet heads off and punched them out. 20241229_133352.jpg20241229_133640.jpg20241229_134007.jpg

We have a box of 50+ year old rivets from my old shop. The old guys gave them to me but never told me what they were for. So this is what they are for.

I dont have the tool to make the convex on the end of the rivets i hammered. I will have to make or buy one.

The tool works like new and has the much more useful smaller jaws now.

Those Schrades are much sought after, I had once been looking for one, but gave up.

I had 2, I wish I could find the other. It rode around in a 80s 4runner clamped onto the window crank for years.

I can just see it; clamped in place like it was meant to be. It was not a safe queen, but lived a useful life. I drink to that 🍻
