Wow, couldn't they think of a shorter name for it? Anyway, eknifeworks has these on sale for a whopping $9.99, so even though I don't need one, I'm tempted to pick one up.

I have no doubt that a needlenose Vise-Grip plier is a great tool to have - I think I already own 6 Vise Grips already, and they all get used. So, having one with the addition of a locking knife and saw blade, plus Phillips and regular screwdrivers and a bottlecap opener (o.k., maybe not so useful) sounds like a winner, especially for less than $10.00.

Anyone actually own one of these? They don't seem to be very popular. The Vise-Grip function of the tool looks pretty well implemented, but the rest of the tools seem kinda added on as an afterthought. It it well designed? A quality tool that will hold up to hard use? Are the blade, screwdrivers, etc., easy to use?

well... this isn't about the Schrade tool....

but carrying vise grips around proves to be more useful than i had originally thought.

but i have a LM crunch. i got it last week on sale at my local outdoors store for 62.00. it's not a 10.00 multitool like the schrade, but it does fold up real nice.

for 10.00, i say you can't go wrong with the schrade. but if you want something real cool, the LM is pretty sweet... ;)

i bought one for a friend and he likes it. the tools are decent and the vicegrips work great. i think it's a real bargin!

I just bought one for about the same price and I think it was a good deal. The pliers are great and the additional tools are nice to have. I just keep it in the car though, it is a little large to carry in your pockets.

$10 is not a bad price at all. But the local Sears store had the for $7.99 about a month ago. I can't imagine why I didn't get one. At that price I would have found something to do with it.

Excuse me Fruitbat, what did you see at Sears for $7.99? Was it the Schrade? Cause if it is, at that price, plus the fact I won't have to pay $8.00 or whatever for shipping, I'm there! Was $7.99 the regular price, or was it on sale? Hey, I'm poor and my parents grew up during the Depression and passed that mentality onto me!

Yep, it was a Schrade. If I remember correctly, it was in a Clearance bin. I still can't belive I didn't get one. Hind sight is 20/20.

Ah man. I called up my local Sears, and they said they didn't carry any Schrade products, or anything resembling a Vise-Grip multitool. Bummer. But, thanks for the quick response.

You might try a cheap tools store... any of the bargin junk shops. They all carry vicegrips and channel locks (at a pretty decent price too!)

Just dont buy much outside of those two there and you'll be ok (wont lose any fingers when an imitation breaks!) :D

I'm a little bit late comming to this, but I got one of these at a local Kmart for $10. You might want to check with them. I'm not really impressed with the multitool part, but $10 isn't bad for a pair of needle nose Vice Grips.
