Schrade TRT96 Tennessee River Trapper

WOW Codger, If I knew you've been looking for one of those I would have picked one up for ya, I passed up one for $15 a month or so ago, if I knew you had been looking for one I'd have sent it to ya.

My 293, not much neat about it other than I've sold it a couple times and it always came back to me. Was given to me by my father at the age of six, sold it to a guy who sold it to another guy who I met last year and was looking through his knives, and when I told him that it used to be mine, he was kind enough to sell it back to me. I was sure it was mine, because it had a distinctive ding in the rear bolster, it was the only mark on it. So we had been apart for nearly nine years, and i'm glad to have her back!

The TRT is one of my favorites! I picked one up at wally world right after Schrade clsoed its doors. They were on clearance, I might have paid 19.00 for it? I did just see one on ebay, I believe the current price was at 21?

I may have posted this before, if so, I apologize.
Here is the wood scaled 296...with a 194OT for size comparison.

I wish I had gotten a bone handled TRT as well. :(

Bill, they are still out there. Just keep an eye on ebay! I seem them once in a while go for some fair prices.

No shield,no pedigree, can't find any flaws,???

The fit and finish on this knife is better than the Canal Street Trapper that I recently acquired.

Schrade could really turn out some fancy knives at a reasonable cost, when they wanted to.
The 293 on the bottom is pretty nice, also.

What,you want to see more?
OK !!
