Hey guys, Sean here. I just watched one of Equip2Endure's videos and he had a really good looking knife seen in the title. I'm getting jittery because I want to buy it reaall bad but I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this knife. It seems like a good buy gor $38 but I know that you get what you pay for. Anyone have a review on it? I can't seem to find one but that might be because I'm on my phone right now. So if anyone can give some insight on this knife it'd be greatly apreciated.
Sorry for the wall of text and thanks
Sean

It's a great knife, especially at that price point. I've had one for a little over a year now and have nothing bad to say about it. Mine came with a fantastic edge that I still haven't felt the need to sharpen. It was designed by a forum member here, Mistwalker. It may not be the best at any one task but there really isn't any task that it can't do at least moderately well. This is the knife I keep in the trunk of my car.

Well it really depends on what you intend to use the knife for. If it is for survival/camp work the answer is different than just having a knife to do random chores. IMO, it is a great knife, depending on what you use it for. A BK2 or larger/heavier blade will serve you better in chopping and splitting scenarios, but if you don't intend on using it to chop much wood this won't be an issue. The steel is solid (1095 is in my top five favorites) and it is a very sturdy knife. I say for the price that is a great buy. I'm sure someone on here will tell you to spend the extra 40 to 50 bucks and get a ESEE5 or to go with a Becker BK2/BK4/BK7, but if you aren't looking to spend that much then don't feel obligated to go all out.

But beware. . . knives are an addiction. You'll have a large collection soon enough :)

Wow! I didn't know that a forum member designed it, that's pretty cool.
Well you see, i want to buy an ESEE 4 soon but right now i don't have the money.
But i really want to have a fix blade because right now all I have are folders. Except for my Landi neck knife but i can't really use that for anything hardcore now can I?

I'd have no reservations about that knife. I plan on getting one myself. Mistwalker knows what works in a blade. It's gotten good reviews in magazines and on the retail websites.

Nothing against ESEE (the company is great and they stand behind their stuff), but I think that the knives are overpriced for a factory blade in 1095. Yeah, you get their warranty, but... it's still a factory produced 1095 blade.

You can get custom made 1095 blades for makers on here for around the same money, or a little more.

If I'm spending more than $100 a blade, it will be a custom one from a maker on here. JMHO.
