I have a Uncle Henry 164UH that has no markings on the blade other than the word Schrade writen on the blade with two x's on the word. Is this a prototype or a salesman's sample? What do I have? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
The question about factory seconds comes up fairly often. Schrade more commonly ground off the tang stamps, compared to using two X's. I think what you are describing came up recently, but I don't remember the details.

How do you know it is a "164UH" when it has "no markings on the blade other than the word Schrade written on the blade with two x's on the word"? The blade should be stamped! As thawk says, pictures are the best way to go when asking questions.
