Welcome to Bladeforums!

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

The covers of the Uncle Henry line were for the most part Staglon, and the Old Timer line was Genuine Sawcut Delrin. Both were injection molded Delrin, a Dupont acetyl polymer. Both were dyed in a hot dye bath to add highlight colors, then buffed to reveal the base material color in areas such as adjacent to the bolsters, and in the case of Staglon, to immitate the bone color of the stag antler.

Delrin is a very durable and dimensionally stable plastic with high lubricity (it is slick!).

You just bumped a thread from 2008 to ask a person about buying a knife they posted seven years ago? This is not the exchange forum.

Did not look at the date just excited about finding a knife I had as a kid to give to my son!

They made quite a few though the pattern wasn't popular enough for long term production. Keep a constant search going on that Schrade auction site and one will pop up directly at a reasonable price. And welcome to the forum! Please show off your "get" when you find it!
