Im considering buying a Schrade Pro Hunter, but I dont really care for the handle, are there any replacements I could swap it with or would I have to have one custom made? Ive seen some modified, sanded down, but Im not sure Id want to do that. Its a beautiful knife, I just dont really like the handle style, and if I have to have one custom made Im just going to buy a different knife.
Im also looking at a Colt Serengeti, anyone have any feedback on that knife? Also, if I buy the Serengeti, does anybody know if/where I can find a different sheath for it? The one it comes with is fine, but I like sheaths that have options for different wearing positions and a sheath that allow me to deploy my knife as quickly as possible. Whichever knife I buy is meant to be a hunting/camping knife, but will also be my primary fixed blade for the time being. (I usually carry folders) Thank you for your time and for your advise.
